IQ v. EQ: School Readiness

Before your child can be successful academically in the classroom, he must be “Ready to Learn”. Being a successful student with a love of learning is much more than just knowing your ABC’s and 123’s. Remember your child’s social skills are just as important as his academic skills. Learn fun tools and strategies for teaching him these skills such as friend-making, empathy, patience and self-control. Deliberate and meaningful parenting starts by teaching your child how to successfully navigate his world.
Join Patina Sehorn, co-author of Answer Keys: Teachers’ Lesson Plans for Successful Parenting, as she discusses school readiness for your child. Her presentation, School Readiness: More than just ABC’s & 123’s, will be held in the Nau Family Room in the church on Wednesday, October 16, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. We hope you can join us!
